Gave me a laugh. Concise, visual, down-to-earth. But: Business intelligence is for decision-makers, and you fail to define a decision-maker. Is it “one who makes decisions”? Then how do you become a better decision-maker? Decision-making is based on awareness. Limited awareness limits success, limited awareness makes mistakes. THE CRITICAL FACTOR is not BI, it is the observer’s level of alertness, how integrated the nervous system is. Total integration = total awareness.

Dr. Codd invented the database? No, he developed the concept of the relational database, but there are other kinds of databases…

I like the style but the content is at several points inaccurate (eg. some of the things put in the past are actually happening now, some of the things put in the future are already here and have been for quite some time) I’m quite sure the author knows this.
    Anyway… funny marketing babble

Great video! It shows where we come from and where we are today. Even more interesting is the future!

However, this is a great introductory video for people who are new to the field of BI. It shows what it really is all about (right data to the right person on the right time) and that it is not about the tools.

To hear this from a tool vendor (Microsoft) shows vision from a vender. Good job!

As a BI consultancy firm we are trying to achieve this every day: to make BI really work!
